About me
I've been dealing with (old) cars for over 45 years - and I still really enjoy them:
At the age of 13, I started working on vehicles alongside school to supplement my pocket money.
After leaving school, I was able to complete my motor vehicle mechanic apprenticeship in our small village workshop within 16 months. We repaired everything here, not just replaced parts! I still bring this conviction to my work today.
I financed my subsequent automotive engineering studies in the Mecca of car manufacturers, Stuttgart and Esslingen, by regularly working in a small and fine car workshop in Stuttgart-Vaihingen (Mercedes-Benz and American classic cars; lots of bodywork and electrics ...).
And then I was able to help build „the best cars“ at Mercedes-Benz in various functions for almost 20 years: Quality Management, Service, Training. At the same time, I was always working (for myself) on Vespas, VW Bus T3, Karmann Ghia, various Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Jaguar, ...
MY 504 STORY
In the mid-80s, I worked in a discotheque south of Hamburg at the weekend. The owner had a brown Peugeot 504 Cabriolet, which I often parked next to - I've never forgotten that car!
At the beginning of the 2020s, this dream came true for me. According to my wife, „another car from our small fleet had to go first“!
In the meantime, I have built up a network of passionate 504cc enthusiasts, some of whom are friends. I am opening up this network to you too!
